About Modir

We build software the regulator can defend.

Modir is an applied-AI company headquartered in Dubai. Modir Wealth OS is our flagship product for regulated wealth firms.

Founder narrative

The platform we kept wishing existed.

We started Modir after building wealth-management infrastructure for three different institutions across MENA, Europe and North America. Each project had the same shape: stitch a CRM, a portfolio system, a custody connection, an onboarding stack, and a compliance tool — then spend a year retrofitting Arabic, Hijri dates, and audit evidence on top.

By the third project, we accepted that the platform itself was the product. Modir Wealth OS is what we wished we’d had on day one: identity, audit, localization, AI governance, and document pipelines as load-bearing primitives, not features bolted on later.

We chose TypeScript for the modular monolith because it lets a small team move fast without giving up types. We chose Python sidecars because LangGraph and QuantLib live there. We chose Java for the FIX gateway because QuickFIX/J is the fixed point. The result is a platform with one production answer for every regulated workflow — and we ship it the same way to a Saudi private bank, a Tehran asset manager, or a UK family office.

Mission

Make regulated finance buildable again.

Three things we believe:

  • Localization is a structural concern, not a CSS concern.
  • AI without governance is a liability, not a feature.
  • The audit trail is the contract — not the documentation.
Values

Six things that show up in code review.

Provable, not promised

If we say the audit chain is tamper-evident, we ship the verifier. If we say the AI is governed, we ship the OPA policy.

Localization first

RTL, Hijri, Jalali are not retrofits. They are tested in pseudo before any other locale ships.

Boundaries before features

New capability lives in the right context, with an explicit interface, or it doesn't ship.

Tests before merge

211 unit + 19 integration + 13 OPA tests pass on every PR. Quality gates are not aspirational.

Operational empathy

We write the runbook before the feature is "done." Eight runbooks ship with the platform.

One platform, many customers

If a customer asks for a one-off, we either generalize it into the platform or decline. Forks die.

Careers

We are hiring engineers who care about the boring parts.

Authorization. Audit. Localization. Document pipelines. Type contracts. The unglamorous primitives that make regulated software actually work. If that sounds interesting, we’d like to hear from you.

Partners

System integrators welcome.

We work closely with regional SI partners on implementation and support. If your firm specializes in core-banking integration, KYC vendors, or jurisdictional compliance, let’s talk about a partnership.
